Bringing your own group?
Private group training has a $1,200 minimum for four hours. Contact us with your group size and preferred dates to arrange a session.

Take your California Firearm Safety Certificate test with a DOJ Certified Instructor at Prepared 2 Defend.

Bring a valid California driver license or California DMV identification card.
Includes one free retest with the same instructor after at least 24 hours, if needed. FSC testing is separate from our four-hour live-fire training packages.

I’ve never handled a firearm. Can I train?
Yes. Beginners are welcome. Let us know your experience when you reach out so we can recommend an appropriate starting point.
What gear do I need?
Eye and ear protection are required. A holster and mag pouch are required. Other equipment and ammunition needs depend on your session. We’ll provide a specific list in advance. Let us know if you need help with gear.
Where does training take place?
Training takes place at California Tactical Academy in Piru, CA. Your meeting instructions will be confirmed before your session.
How do I choose a date?
Send your preferred dates and the type of training you’re interested in. We’ll confirm instructor and range availability before accepting your booking. Group classes run on scheduled dates with at least six confirmed, paid students.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes. Contact us to arrange a training gift card for a friend or family member.
